When this form and that of the tenant(s) you wish to exchange homes with have been completed, an assessment of the application will be made.
We will then phone and confirm in writing to you our final decision within 42 days.
Please note that you must not arrange to move until you receive written permission with an exchange date.
Tenants who move without permission will be required to move back again.
We suggest that you visit the home you plan to exchange with to check the condition of the property and to make yourself familiar with its location.
Any party has the right to withdraw their mutual exchange application at any time and the council cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience or expense incurred.
Mutual exchanges may be refused due to under occupancy, overcrowding or if a notice of seeking possession has been served on any party and if the property has been adapted and you or the person you are exchanging with are not eligible for the adaptations.
All housing related debt must be paid in full before exchange
